About me

I am a 45 year old career estate agent living and working in Nottinghamshire, England. Married to the wonderful Alison with 3 kids, Charlie, Emily and Lily-Grace. In 2010 I launched my own business www.carterestateagents.com to reinvent estate agency locally. Here’s a brief run through of the last 25 years ! I started my estate agency career back in 1985 (straight from school), joining a local firm in Maidstone Kent as a trainee negotiator. Over the next 15 years, I progressed into management working for some well known estate agents including Halifax Property Services and haart.

Moving to Nottinghamshire in 2000, I opened my own estate agency Carter & Company in Grantham. In 2003, having already built up a growing reputation for customer service, Carter & Company won the Grantham Journal Small Growing Business award. In 2005, I decided to sell the business, and further my experience and career. For the next few years, I worked on the fringe of direct estate agency, selling HIPS and other associated products to the industry.

That is until 2010 with the opening of Carter Estate Agents. I hope you enjoy reading my blog.
